Finally, the big day has arrived - time to leave for London! Despite being midway through training for the summer, I decided that a quick jaunt across the pond was very necessary.
Not only do I get to see the start of the Tour, but I get to spend 3.5 days enjoying the sights and sounds of London.
London isn't the only thing giving me a break from training. I've also been feeling kinda crummy since Sunday. I opted to skip a swim on Monday, a bike ride on Tuesday and another bike ride today. A week of physical and mental recovery from training will be a good thing for me for the rest of the summer. I am hoping it will prevent me from becoming stale and tired.
